The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre will be presenting the drama/comedy play, “The Hallelujah Girls” by Jessie Jones, Nickolas Hope and Jamie Wooten as a Dinner Theatre Production on May 30, 31 and June 1 at the Sunrise Beach Community Center on Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach.
“The Hallelujah Girls” directed by Cheryl Glawe is a comedy about five feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia who try to turn an abandoned church into SPA-DEE-DAH a day-spa. The comic tension mounts when a sexy ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, a marriage proposal comes from an unlikely suitor and an archrival vows she’ll stop at nothing to steal the spa way. By the time the women rally together to overcome these obstacles and launch their new, improved lives, you’ve got a side-splitting, joyful comedy that will make you laugh out loud and shout “Hallelujah!”
Admission to this production is only $25 which includes a wonderful four course dinner prepared and served to you by many wonderful Sunrise Beach Little Theatre Volunteers. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner (to which you can BYOB) will be served at 6:00 P.M., with the play following at 7 p.m.
