At their May 21, 2013 meeting the Camdenton City Council approved moving from bi-monthly water and sewer billing to monthly water and sewer billing. The City has been moving towards the goal of fully automated radio-read meters and with this in place the City staff is in a better position to manage monthly billing. Some benefits of monthly billing include:
•Customers will have smaller bills by paying monthly, making it easier to budget their expenses
•Earlier detection of possible leaks in service lines
•More efficient means for the City to calculate the ratio of water pumped to water billed to the customers
The anticipate all cycles to be on monthly billing by August 2013. The city currently has three cycles:
Cycle 1 – If your account number begins with 01 you are in this cycle and currently receive bills in January, March, May, July, September and November. In July 2013 you will receive your normal two (2) month billing. In August 2013 you will receive your first one (1) month bill and thereafter receive monthly bills.
Cycle 2 – If your account number begins with 02 you are in this cycle and currently receive bills in February, April, June, August, October and December. In June 2013 you will receive your normal two (2) month billing. In July 2013 you will receive your first one (1) month bill and thereafter receive monthly bills.
Cycle 3 – If your account number begins with 03 you are in this cycle and already receive your bills monthly. This change does not affect you.
