The Osage Indians may not have finished high as a team in the women's events, but the boys' team took fifth overall in the sectional meet this past weekend.
For the girls, only Lacy Cotton emerged as a finalist to compete in the state meet after finishing fourth in the pole vault.
On the boys' side, five members of the team will advance on. Donald Hudlmeyer took fourth in the shot put, while Tristan Hensley finished second in the 3200 meter.
Robbie Mueller, however, had a huge day, finishing third in the 100 meter, fourth in the 400 meter and first in the 4x800 meter relay with teammates Jon Colgan, Tristan Hensley and Matt Lehenbauer.
Lehenbauer is an alternate for the relay team, with other member of the squad being Wyatt Whitman.
The six athletes will travel to Jefferson City this weekend to participate in the Class 3 State meet, held at Lincoln University.
