Completion date: Completed
Repair work on the Osage Beach Parkway wrapped up this week in preparation for handing off ownership to the city of Osage Beach.
APAC was awarded a $90,000 contract by the Missouri Highway Commission to bring the parkway up to city standards, a requirement before the state hands over ownership and maintenance to the city.
APAC milled out bad sections of the parkway and replaced them with a new layer of asphalt. Final paperwork on rights of way and other details is nearly complete, and the city will be asked in the next month or two to assume ownership.
MoDOT asked the city several months ago to move forward with ownership, but aldermen and city staff were not satisfied with the condition of the roadway. City officials have driven the parkway several times and asked for specific repairs.
The hand-over to the city was part of an agreement between Osage Beach and MoDOT involving construction of the Highway 54 expressway.
