The Camdenton Lakers were able to send through two golfers, Braden Demark and Seth Crockett, into the sectional tournament this week, while Eldon's Braden Atkinson made it through as the only Mustang.
Atkinson, however, was the only one of the three to win his way through sectionals, making him the only lake area golfer to compete in the state tournament this year. Atkinson shot an 83 at the sectional meet at Innsbrook Resort Golf Course, tying with three others for 17th place at the match.
Atkinson will now compete in the  Class 3 state championship, which will be held at Sedalia on Monday, May 13.
Demark finished in a seven-way tie for 30th at Eagle Knoll in Columbia with a score of 89. Crockett finished with a 90 and a four-way tie for 37th.

The Camdenton Lakers played their final game of the regular season against the Versailles Tigers.
Camdenton took an early 1-0 lead after the second inning, and tacked on another run in both the fourth and the fifth innings for a 3-0 lead. After a scoreless sixth, Versailles rallied, scoring two runs before the Lakers stalled their march, winning 3-2.
Jake Voorhees led the Lakers with two RBI's and a triple on the night. Kyle Rizer pitched the win, while Dylan Hymes claimed the save.
