  • One of the most popular events of the year at the lake is returning after a four-year hiatus, but under a slightly different name.
The Mountain Man Rendezvous is now called The Dam Rendezvous, and will be held at the same location as before — at the Bagnell Dam Campground below the dam in Lake Ozark.
The event will be held May 10-12 and is sponsored by the Dam Bait Shop and Campground which is owned by Betsey Browning.
The Rendezvous is a step back in Missouri history as participants will set up camp as settlers and travelers did more than 100 years ago. There will be a blacksmith shop, Irish pub with Irish crème soda, traders, craftsmen, demonstrations, black powder shoots, archery competition by KOSH Trading and Post Archery, hawk and knife throwing, fire starting, a kids’ fishing contest and more.
There will be potluck and live music on Saturday, May 11.
Cost is $2 and children under 15 are free.
Primitive camp fee is $15, trader fee is $25. Modern camp fee is $16 per night or $23 for a full hook-up.
For more information, call The Dam Bait Shop at 573-365-9135.
