Kirsta Crockett, of Camdenton, received the Skip Cobler Award at the 2012-13 Annual Student Awards Ceremony held on April 25 at College of the Ozarks.
Crockett is a Camdenton R-III High School graduate.
Awards are given based on outstanding accomplishments in the areas of academics, work and character. College of the Ozarks has held an annual awards night for the past 105 years.
This year, 211 students received awards ranging from room and board scholarships to the "Golden Rule Award," which is given to the student who best exemplifies the "Golden Rule" in their daily life.
College of the Ozarks is a fully-accredited; four-year Christian, work college located in Point Lookout, Mo. Not one student pays a penny for their college education at this institution the Wall Street Journal dubbed "Hard Work U." Instead, students are required to work campus jobs to offset the cost of education.
