  • Liliana Ovington, of Camdenton, received the Daughters of the American Colonists Award, Mr. and Mrs. Berg Work Awards, and Sylvester Doggett Award at the 2012-13 Annual Student Awards Ceremony held on April 25 at College of the Ozarks.

  • Liliana Ovington, of Camdenton, received the Daughters of the American Colonists Award, Mr. and Mrs. Berg Work Awards, and Sylvester Doggett Award at the 2012-13 Annual Student Awards Ceremony held on April 25 at College of the Ozarks.
    Ovington is a home school graduate.
    Awards are given based on outstanding accomplishments in the areas of academics, work and character. College of the Ozarks has held an annual awards night for the past 105 years.
    This year, 211 students received awards ranging from room and board scholarships to the "Golden Rule Award," which is given to the student who best exemplifies the "Golden Rule" in his/her daily life.
    College of the Ozarks is a fully-accredited; four-year Christian, work college located in Point Lookout, Mo. Not one student pays a penny for his/her college education at this institution the Wall Street Journal dubbed "Hard Work U." Instead, students are required to work campus jobs to offset the cost of education.
