The Missouri Women’s Golf Association is pleased to announce the 75th Amateur Championship Tournament will be hosted by The Old Kinderhook Golf Resort in Camdenton, MO during July 9-11th, 2013.  Kinderhook has ranked on Golf Magazine's "Best Courses Near You" as the #2 course in Missouri with its layout carved out of the Ozark hills.  Kinderhook is renowned for its unsurpassed drama: valleys, waterfalls, hills, trees and water hazards all in a beautiful lake setting.  In pristine condition, the zoysia fairways and large bent grass greens will challenge our best Missouri amateurs.  The elevation changes and breathtaking views make this a great venue for our 75th year.
This tournament will showcase the top women amateurs in a 54 hole stroke play competition.  A practice round will be available on July 8th.  The field of 51 players will play the Tom Weiskopf designed course at approximately 5900 yards.  2012 Champion Ellen Port of St. Louis, MO is expected to return to compete against a stellar field this year with the likes of past Champion and last year’s runner up Catherine Dolan of Ballwin as well as a long list of talented contenders.
Eligibility: Each player must become an MWGA member.  Competitors must own, rent or lease property in Missouri or Johnson County, Kansas prior to the first day of play.  Student entrants must attend an educational institution in Missouri or Johnson County, KS (or if attending an out of state university or college, they qualify if their parents or guardian owns, rents or leases property in Missouri or Johnson County, KS as their primary residence prior to the first day of play.)  Each player must have a current USGA handicap index.
