I'm a strong supporter of Senator Mike Kehoe's Senate Bill 207 because it will mean good-paying jobs for more Missourians.
The Missouri legislature's top priority should be to pass legislation this session that will create jobs, and they shouldn't look any further than this bill, which will create lots of good-paying jobs now and in the future.
This bill will help modernize our aging electrical infrastructure, which will improve reliability, reduce power outages, save money, and provide for our future energy needs.
The benefits of an upgraded infrastructure will help attract new manufacturing and high-tech industry jobs as they start to rebound across the United States. We need our state to be a position to attract some of those jobs.
Senate Bill 207 also has more consumer protections like caps on ISRS adjustments which is good for all of Missouri.
Let's pass Senate Bill 207 so that Missouri can start attracting some of the jobs that are going to other states, and stay on the right side of an "energy cliff."
