The ground breaking ceremony for School of the Osage Heritage Building has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 20.
It originally was scheduled for May 23.
Voters April 2 approved a $22 million bond issue for renovation and expansion of the Heritage Building to accommodate overcrowding issues at the existing Mills Elementary School. The project calls for additional classrooms, complete renovation of the building and offices for administration.
A pre-bid conference was held April 30 at the Heritage Building and bids are due at 2 p.m. May 9, also at the Heritage Building. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled during the regular May 20 meeting.
The work should be completed by the start of the 2014-15 school year.
