  • Ralph M. Keeney Jr., 90, departed peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2013.
    He was born in St. Louis, February 26, 1923 to Ralph M Keeney, Sr. and Frances (Hertz) Keeney, both of whom preceded him in death along with Sister Gloria McGill and grandson, Shawn Worley.
    He is survived by his daughters Karen (Chris) Worley, Diane (Ken) Clancy, Sandra Keeney, Paulette Worley, and son Ralph M. (Jennifer) Keeney III.
    Also surviving are sisters Melba Wiedel, JoAnn Keeney, Marianne Muehlenbrock and Brothers Robert (Elma) Keeney, Jerome (Joan) Keeney, and Lawrence (Lynn) Keeney.
    12 Grandchildren
    11 Great-Grandchildren and 1 on the way.

    Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
    Ralph loved and cherished his family and his loss will be felt by them and his many friends and associates.
    Fellow Masons, Shriners and Members of the Scottish Rite will also feel the loss of a brother who worked tirelessly over many years riding in the Moolah Mounted Patrol.

    A hardworking man who started out digging ditches, operating heavy equipment for family businesses, RM Grading, Forest Hills Construction Company, building many subdivisions, selling Real Estate for Keeney-Toelle Real Estate and finally President of Northwestern Savings and Loan.
    Upon retiring in the early 1980’s, Ralph relocated to Lake of the Ozarks as owner/operator of Wheelhouse Marina until 2011.
    Ralph was known to fellow Seabees as “Digger”, to his family as “Sonny”, to business associates as “R.M. or Ralph”…. But to my sisters and brother he was and always will be…. Dad.
    We love you Dad.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, 10 am at STYGAR FLORISSANT CHAPEL, 13980 New Halls Ferry Rd.
    Visitation Thursday 3-8 pm
    Interment private.
    Memorial donations may be made in his name to Shriners Childrens Hospital of St. Louis, and organization near and dear to his heart.
