  • With a 5-3 record, Camdenton's baseball team returned to the field Friday to host the Lebanon Yellowjackets.
In a shootout between the two teams, Lebanon would emerge the victor in a 13-10 after seven innings.
Dylan Hymes pitched the loss for the Lakers, but Hymes and the Lakers could not stem the offensive tide of Lebanon's bats, as the Yellowjackets batted in eight runs in the first two innings.
After tacking on another three runs in the third, Lebanon led the Lakers 11-2. The fourth inning proved scoreless for both teams, while the fifth brought some life to the Lakers.
Lebanon added on another two runs in the top of the fifth for a score of 13-2, but Camdenton finally found some footing, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Lebanon would not score another run for the remainder of the game, but the Lakers would mount a comeback, scoring five runs in the sixth, trailing 13-10.
The last inning would prove scoreless, and the Lakers would pick up their fourth loss of the season.
John McRoberts and Kyle Rizer led the Lakers with three RBI's each, with three more coming from Hymes, Jake Voorhees and Brian Hoffman. Rizer and Tyler Cunningham both tripled in the game, while Hoffman had the team's only double. Oliver Thompson and Jordan Webster both stole a base.
Lebanon's Dylan Bradshaw had a home run in the game, and finished the game with four RBI's, along with four RBI's from senior Josh Bennett.
