Lillian Wohlt, 87, of Gravois Mills formerly of Jefferson City passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Summit Villa, Holts Summit, Missouri. She was born in Lone Elm, Missouri the daughter of the late Adolf and Ella (Schleving) Schnack. On November 24, 1946 she was united in marriage to George Henry Wohlt who preceded her in death on February 24, 2011.
Lillian attended Lone Elm grade school and graduated from Buncton High School. She was employed with Von Hoffman Press as executive secretary for over 40 years. She was a member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach and Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. She also belonged to the Ladies Guild. Lillian enjoyed playing all card games especially Bridge.
Survivors include two sons: Jeff Wohlt of Jefferson City and Ken Wohlt wife Trina of Middlesex, Vermont; four grandchildren: Alex Wesley, Megan and Jon; and one sister: Doris Butler. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Hillard, Melvin, Adolf Jr, and Gilbert and one sister Elvadine Berry.
Friends were received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church, Sunrise Beach with additional visitation to be held one half hour prior to the service. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
