Lake of the Ozarks students Cathi Cook (Linn Creek), Karen Hogan (Cameron), Kayla Little (Eldon), Tim Shull (Rocky Mount), Ricky Sutton (Camdenton), Amber Visser (Iberia) and Joel Wiese(Osage Beach) have been inducted into the Columbia College Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta. A formal induction ceremony was held Thursday, April 4 in the foyer of the Columbia College Annex in Osage Beach.
Membership in this honored chapter is reserved for juniors and seniors who rank in the top 20 percent of their class with at least a 3.5 GPA and have completed at least 30 credit hours at Columbia College toward their business administration degree. Sigma Beta Delta exists to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business.
"We are proud to honor these outstanding students and recognize their efforts toward academic excellence," said Dr. John Keeney, director of Columbia College – Lake of the Ozarks. "Our business administration program serves our students very well as they prepare to apply their degrees in their chosen career paths."
The Lake Ozark campus was established in 1990 and recently celebrated its 22nd anniversary. In 2004, a new 17,400-square-foot building was constructed, completed in spring 2005. The first classes held in the new facility began in June 2005.
