The Osage Beach Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire on March 31 at 11:12 a.m. at a residence near Grey Fox Lane in Kaiser.
Firefighters first on the scene reported 80 percent of the structure consumed by heavy flames and immediately started to fight the fire.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control within an hour. The structure and the contents of the residence were a complete loss.
Fire started on the outside of the structure from a BBQ pit on a covered patio. According to officials, the owner of the home had utilized the BBQ Pit earlier that morning and had left the home. Later, a neighbor saw the home in flames and reported the fire.
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District was assisted by Lake Ozark, Mid County, Sunrise Beach, Brumley and Miller County Ambulance on the scene. City of Camdenton moved an Engine into Osage Beach Station 2 to cover the District for additional calls.
No occupants or firefighters were injured.
