Sunny skies and warm spring temperatures brought out about 60 children with their parents to the 6th annual Easter Egg Hunt on the farm of John Haselton near Laurie on Sunday, according to Pam Edgar. Children from Stover, Brumley, Gravois, Laurie and Camdenton showed up to hunt eggs.
With over 1,800 eggs, each child left with a huge basket of goodies and prizes. Prizes were donated by Johnson Brothers, Laurie Pizza Hut and Versailles Walmart. Every child recieved prizes with Zoe and Dylan winning the grand prize of the day - new bicycles donated by Walmart.
Everyone had hotdogs, chips, drinks, deviled eggs and cupcakes, and the children played together in the large field while the adults talked.
"It is always good to hear the children laughing," Haselton said. "And it is always great to see children out doors having a good time and even getting a little dirty."
