  •   The lake level was 655.8, with medium to heavy generation scheduled this past week the lake should drop to 655.1 by the weekend. Truman Lake is still four feet over pool. Surface temperature at Bagnell Dam was 40 degrees earlier this week. Warm daytime temperatures should improve fishing even more.
      BLACK BASS – No major tournaments reported this week. Lower Osage: Very good, try Smithwick’s Rogue jerkbaits or jigs tipped with Berkley’s Chigger Craw. Also, try MoRigs parallel to the shoreline. Glaize Arm: Very good, try Rogues, Crock-O-Gator jigs, MoRigs or YUMbrella rigs near channel swings. Mid-Lake: Very good, try jerkbaits and multi-rigs along channel swings. Niangua Arm: Very good, try purple-and-chartreuse jerkbaits like the Rogue or Megabass on main lake points. Little Niangua River: No reported fish. Gravois Arm: Very good, try jigs tipped with soft plastic critters or try multi-rigs. Upper Osage: Very good, try jerkbaits on rocky points. Osage 60 MM: Very good, try Pro Blue or pearl RC jerkbaits along rocky shorelines.
      CATFISH – Bagnell Dam Tailwater: Good for blue and flathead catfish in backwaters on cut bait. Lower Osage: Poor to fair on rod and reel baited with cut bait. Glaize Arm: Poor to fair, try in the coves with nightcrawlers or chicken livers. Mid-Lake: Good behind the Tan Tar A island on cut bait. Niangua Arm: Poor, try nightcrawlers, cut bait, and chicken livers. Little Niangua River:  No reported fish. Gravois Arm: Fair on rod and reel baited with dead minnows or cut shad. Upper Osage: Good, try fresh cut bait in front of docks. Osage 60 MM: Good, try fresh cut bait in front of docks. Truman Tailwater: Good on cut bait for blue catfish. 
      CRAPPIE – Bagnell Dam Tailwater: Poor, likely because of lack of anglers. Lower Osage: Fair to good, try blue ice colored jigs 12 to 14 feet deep around big boat docks. Glaize Arm: Fair, try jigs fished around major boat docks. Mid-Lake: Fair, try jigs for suspended fish 18 feet deep over brush. Niangua Arm: Fair, try jigs around dock brush. Little Niangua River: No reported fish. Gravois Arm: Fair to good, try blue-and-white jigs around docks. Upper Osage: Fair to good, try jigs tipped with plastic and Berkley Crappie Nibbles 12 to 14-feet deep. Osage 60 MM: Excellent on jigs or minnows on banks where the wind is blowing onto them.
      PADDLEFISH – Bagnell Dam Tailwater: Good but most fish are just legal sized for below the dam. Upper Osage: Good opening weekend but slow since. Osage 60 MM: Good opening weekend but snagging has slowed since then.  
    Page 2 of 2 -   WALLEYE – Bagnell Dam Tailwater: Good for anglers in boats, try black Berkley’s Gulp Leeches. Truman Tailwater: Good on jigs or minnows.
      WHITE AND HYBRID BASS – Bagnell Dam Tailwater: Good from shore with white Berkley Hollow Belly or Split Belly Swimbaits. Lower Osage:  No reported fish. Glaize Arm: Poor, try white jigs in coves and on points with Dixie Jet Spoons. Mid-Lake: Poor to fair on spoons in open water. Niangua Arm: Try sqaurebill crankbaits and spoons like the Dixie Jet or Bass Pro Shops XPS Tungsten Jigging Spoon on points. Little Niangua River: No reported fish. Gravois Arm: Fair, try open water with vertically jigged spoons. Osage 60 MM: Crappie anglers are catching a few small fish.
      BLUEGILL – Poor, try worm pieces or Berkley Berkley’s Gulp Crickets, or Nightcrawler pieces.
      NOTE: The Lower Osage is from the dam to the 22-mile mark; Mid-Lake is between the 22 and 38-mile marks; the Upper Osage is between the 38 and 55-mile marks; the Osage 60 MM is between the 55-mile mark and the 89-mile mark; and the 89 MM is between the 89 MM and the Rt. 65 Bridge.
