  • The Door Church in Laurie is participating in the Feinstein Foundation's Annual $1 Million Giveaway to Fight Hunger Challenge from Friday, March 1 through Tuesday, April 30.
All donations of canned goods/food items and monetary gifts received during this time will be counted towards the matching funds. All food items will be valued at $1 per item or pound and cash donations will be matched dollar for dollar.
The End Time Joseph Program has been feeding the needy in Morgan, Miller, Camden and Laclede counties for 19 years. Once a month they give away approximately 75 to 100 pounds of food to each family (which is received from the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri) to an average of 425 families.
As a church based food program, they operate strictly on volunteers and all operating expenses are absorbed by the church or from donations. The money received from the Feinstein Foundation will help greatly in alleviating some of the operational expenses, not to mention the benefit of having additional canned goods available to help supplement the food boxes. All donations are greatly appreciated.
