The last hearing on Camdenton R-III School District's proposed no-tax-increase bond issue is planned for Tuesday evening at Hurricane Deck Elementary on Hwy. 5 in Sunrise Beach.
School officials will be on hand to discuss the upcoming ballot issue for the proposed construction project to renovate and expand Hurricane Deck, build a new Osage Beach Elementary School and upgrade security at existing buildings on the main campus. The bond would also refinance lease purchase certificates used to supplement funding for the district's last major construction project - the new high school.
The public meeting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 26. No formal presentation will be made. The public may attend the meeting at any time during the advertised hours to speak with district staff on the issue. Various displays of the buildings will also be available along with information regarding the need for these construction projects.
Food will be provided by citizen campaign co-chair Ron Duggan. The election is April 2.
