  • Hartmann, Richard W., of Camdenton, Missouri, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the age of 78.
    Dear husband of 43 years to Jean Hartmann; beloved son of the late August and Magdelena Hartmann; devoted father of Nancy (Kent) Parrish, Linda (Stanford Stewart) Hartmann, Carolyn Simpson, and Steven (Stacey) Hartmann; cherished grandfather of Quentin, Darcy (Kirsten), Auston (Kate), Allan, Ethan, Andrea, and Andrew; dear brother of John Hartmann; He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his siblings Gus, Fred, Gertrude, Ruth, Norma, Helen, Marty and Bob.  
    Richard served and held many offices in the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; he was an advocate of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), and a member of the American Legion of Sunrise Beach. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He became Vice President of sales with a commercial collections agency until he retired.  He was a Kentucky Colonel while in Louisville, KY.  As a small plane pilot he loved to fly, and he enjoyed boating, fishing, a tasty fish fry, grilling, motorcycle riding, playing cards and games, travel, and most of all spending quality time with his family and friends.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or The King’s Academy/Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Bagnell Dam Blvd., Lake Ozark, MO 65049  (573) 365-5212.  See www.baue.com for addition visitation and services information.
