  • Camdenton seniors earn Red and Black awards to UCM

  • Dedication to academic success in high school has earned three Camdenton seniors Red and Black scholarships.

  • Dedication to academic success in high school has earned Hannah Byrne, daughter of Kevin and Jeannie Byrne, Osage Beach, a Red and Black Scholarship in the amount of $500 per year to attend the University of Central Missouri.
    Amber Lucas, daughter of Kim and Bob Lassiter, Camdenton, also received a Red and Black Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per year to attend UCM.
    In addition, Aric Osborn, son of Ron and Karen Osborn, Camdenton, earned a Red and Black Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 per year to attend UCM.
    The Red and Black Scholarship is awarded to incoming UCM freshmen based upon their high school cumulative grade point average and ACT composite score. The scholarship is renewable and may be received for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study.
    A senior at Camdenton High School, Byrne will attend UCM in the fall majoring in media studies, Lucas plans to major in elementary education and Osborn will major in business.
