JD Caven may think it odd, but I understood Eric Reeve's article, "Bible Through the Back Door" perfectly well. Intelligent design is simply creationism with a little lip gloss. He says that it can be taught without reference to the Bible.

JD Caven may think it odd, but I understood Eric Reeve's article, "Bible Through the Back Door" perfectly well. Intelligent design is simply creationism with a little lip gloss. He says that it can be taught without reference to the Bible. I think he means that it can be sold without reference to the Bible. Could it be that because creationism was ruled by the courts to be religion which made it unconstitutional to be taught in state schools, it's advocates are now trying to push it through masquerading as science? Let me pass on a quote from Wikipedia:
"The unequivocal consensus in the scientific community is that intelligent design is not science and has no place in a science curriculum. The US National Academy of Science stated that creationism, intelligent design and other claims of supernatural intervention in the origin of life or of species are not science because they are not testable by methods of science.”
The U.S. National Science Teachers association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science have termed it pseudoscience. Others in the scientific community have denounced it's tactics accusing the ID movement of manufacturing false attacks against evolution, of engaging in misinformation and misrepresentation about science and marginalizing those who teach it. In September last year, Bill Nye (The Science Guy) warned that creationist views threaten science education and innovations in the United States.
Let me finish with a couple of questions. If a single cell amoeba is as unbelievably complex as Mr. Caven presents, how complex is the designer of the universe, and if everything is intelligently designed who designed the designer?
