Versailles man run over by flatbed

A Versailles man was pronounced dead after sustaining serious injuries from being run over by a flatbed vehicle.

Paul Allgyer, 26, fell from the flatbed of a 1995 Chevrolet as it turned a corner in Morgan County Sunday afternoon and was run over by the rear wheels of the vehicle. The driver, 17-year-old Austin Hindal of Barnett, did not sustain injuries. Allgyer was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
