  • Loren Woodard of Sunrise Beach taught an Introduction to Woodcarving class for the Lebanon Art Guild and Gallery on Feb. 23-24 at the Gallery. The class was well received with four students registered and completing the class. Instructor Loren Woodard covered types of tools, carving safety, types of woodcarving techniques and taught basic palm tool wood cuts. Participants finished the relief maple leaf project and started on a dogwood blossom for more practice at home. All students indicated an interest in pursuing the craft of woodcarving.     For the Camdenton and extended areas, there will be a Woodcarving l class March 21 with several instructors including this same instructor, Loren Woodard of Sunrise Beach, and including the president of the Camdenton club, Richard Wallace, and others. It will be held at the Lake Career Technical Center in Camdenton on Thursday nights from March 21 to May 2.
