The Eldon Mustang Pack Program is holding a food drive at Paul’s Supermarket in Eldon through March 20.
Eldon-area residents are asked to look for shelf hangers for identification of the items approved for the food drive. There is a cart set up for donations.
The Mustang Pack Program is a locally run program that relies on the support and donations of community members and organizations. Each week, the program sends food home with approximately 230 at-risk students. That’s 1,840 food items going home each week.
The program has been able to provide students with food such as ravioli, soup, applesauce, peanut butter crackers or animal crackers, cereal and peanut butter.
As part of the Mustang Pack effort, the Advisory Board will sponsor a Pizza Hut Fundraiser Night from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9.
The Mustang Pack program will receive 20 percent of the proceeds and all tips.
