Fresh faces will be on stage this year for the ninth annual Performing Arts Variety Showcase being presented by the Lake Arts Council.
Fresh faces will be on stage this year for the ninth annual Performing Arts Variety Showcase being presented by the Lake Arts Council. This amazing collection of local talent all on one stage at one time is some of the best entertainment that can be found at the lake. Added this year are young performers, some of the best in the area and all from the Camdenton area. Victoria Robinson, a multi-talented musician will demonstrate her ability at the keyboard. The Campanini family, Shawn and Gemma on piano, guitar and bass are jazzing it up with two dancers on stage. The very talented pianist, Beverley Huey will be joined on stage by three of her children, McKenzi, Ryan and Landon, for eight handed piano pieces.
Dance Stone Crest studio will be represented by tap dancers pounding the stage to the music, “Hit the Road Jack”; plus an electrifying Hoola Hoop artist.
Vocalist and instrumentalist performing solo and duets in Broadway, Classical, Country, and Gospel styles will leave the audience wanting more. A comic routine with costumes designed by the performer is also being anticipated.
Coordinating the individual performances and moving the show along in good order will be the charmingly experienced Master of Ceremonies, Jim Sutherlin. The performers have been selected and will be directed by the very talented, Diane Oltmann who says, “I am so pleased to be working with this group of people. Their desire to perform and love of the art are outstanding.”
With an involvement of 33 people in all, the Variety Showcase promises to be a buffet of artistically delightful tastes and flavors specifically created for the community’s entertainment pleasure.
You can catch the Showcase on Saturday evening, March 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the School of the Osage. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children, 18 years of age and under. Tickets will be available at the door or may be purchased at the following locations: Paul’s Supermarket’s in Lake Ozark, Osage Beach and Eldon, all locations of the Central Bank and First National Bank and Wilson Music in Eldon.
