If you are an employee of a private company, and you tell a lie that affects other employees, customers or any people whose lives are affected adversely by your deception, you should be fired! If you are a publicly elected official and lie to protect your job; what happens? It all depends on the public support that the elected official has.
By "public support", I mean "constituencies" such as the media, voters, large associations like unions and any other group organized for the sport of the official. This includes political parties!
My question to all is; who benefits from the confusion surrounding the debacle at Benghazi? Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton or Leon Panetta?
My assessment is that none of the above, nor any of the myriad supernumeraries in the several federal agencies has sufficient motivation. Unless, of course the President gave them the "talking points" in order to protect his re-election chances. the President is the only government official who could benefit from the intentional cover-ups and the attendant confusion surrounding this debacle. This sort of deception got Nixon impeached! Despite what the "feeble minded" among us think, Obama is not the emperor! Wake up, America!
The fox is not only in the henhouse; he wants to control the entire farm!
