  • Another lake area business was targeted for drug paraphernalia. Three agencies raided the Puff n Snuff in Camdenton Tuesday, March 5. The Camdenton Police and Camden County Sheriff’s Department assisted Lake Area Narcotic Enforcement Group (LANEG) with service of a search warrant at the business, located on West Highway 54.
    After serving the warrant, two employees of the business were arrested. Alicia Shepherd of Camdenton and Lisa Vanos of Climax Springs were arrested for a felony charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with the Intent to Delivery or Sell.
    Puff N Snuff is at the least the third business in the area in which LANEG has conducted an investigation into drugs. Hippie Spirit on N. Business Route 5 in Camdenton was temporarily shut down on July 13, 2012 following an investigation. The business has since reopened. Officers conducted a similar investigation at Puff N Snuff the same day.
    On June 5, 2012, Morgan County officers served a warrant at Veda's Discount Cigarettes & Tobacco in Laurie. Synthetic marijuana was reported in that case, but no arrests were made.
