  • Citizens for Health & Wellness of Morgan County brought donkey basketball to the court of Stover High School Monday night, March 4.
Four teams played in a mini-tournament.
In the first game, A-1 Pump Co. (red shirts) took on The Po-Po Morgan Sheriff's Dept. team (blue shirts) with The Po-Po winning.
Faculty from the two Morgan County schools - R-I Stover and R-II Versailles - competed in the second game with Stover coming out on top.
The battle for the championship was a draw with the Stover faculty and The Po-Po tied at the end of a 4 minute game in a score of zero to zero.
Half-time entertainment included a game of musical donkeys (like musical chairs) with volunteers from the audience.
The evening of family fun raised money for the not-for-profit organization. After helping to bring a federally qualified health center to Morgan County in 2011 - Prairie Hills Clinic in Versailles - the organization now serves those in need by providing vouchers for health care when needed.
