  • If you are itching to get out of the house, but don't know what to do, there are plenty of places around the Lake where you can shake off the winter blues. Here are our top wintertime attractions at the Lake. And a list of things to do this month.

    1. The Vine Wine Bar & Art Gallery
This unique Lake venue offers wine, food and art all under one roof. The Vine Wine Bar and Art Gallery in Osage Beach has four long wings showcasing vibrant works of art from local artists as well as others from around the world.
Enjoy a glass of wine on a comfortable couch or dine at the bar where you can look over the carefully selected menu and wine list. If you find one you like, take it home with you. During the summer exhibits change monthly.
When you are done browsing, sit down for dinner and drinks. Order by the glass or by the bottle — you will find a selection of white, red and sparkling wines. There is also a number of domestic and a specialty beers you may never have heard about but will want to try. Friendly and knowledgeable service staff can answer questions about the menus.
The food is fresh and made of many homemade ingredients including the chef's own hummus recipe and flat bread. Pizzas are popular as well as the grilled panini's, pastas and desserts.
Several times throughout the year, The Vine offers special events such as wine pairing dinners and artist receptions. A special Valentines wine pairing event will be held soon.
Check the website for information on changing exhibits and special events.

More than 2,400 couples from around the world have exchanged vows in the stalactite-adorned Bridal Chapel.
Above the cave, don't miss Thunder Mountain.
Winding along the northern slopes of Thunder Mountain lies one of the Ozarks' truly unique outdoor experiences - the Thunder Mountain Trail. This one-half mile walking path starts just above Lake of the Ozarks and proceeds past picturesque rock bluffs and ancient maple and cedar trees.
