A police pursuit through Lake Ozark and Osage Beach ended in two people being taken into custody late Wednesday morning.
The chase began in Lake Ozark when police discovered Adair County warrants on the owner of the vehicle. The chase proceeded into Osage Beach, down Rt. KK and then turned around at Red Barn Road. Authorities used a stop stick in an attempt to stop the vehicle somewhere near the roundabout. The vehicle continued down Burton Duenke Drive and onto El Terra Road where the driver ditched the vehicle and took off running. After brief foot chase, the driver was taken into custody.
A female companion who was a passenger in the vehicle was let out on El Terra before the driver continued down El Terra.
Involved in the pursuit were the Lake Ozark and Osage Beach police departments, Camden County sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
