  • The Camdenton High School Speech and Debate team, as well as debate teams from 28 other schools from around the state, converged on the Missouri State University (MSU) Campus in Springfield to compete in the 1st Gloria Deo/MSU Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament.  The tournament, held Feb. 15-16, 2013, attracted national-level powerhouse teams such as Springfield-Central, Parkview, Neosho, Marshfield, and Nixa.
Quantity combined with quality as events had as many as 100 competitors each.  Several Camdenton students distinguished themselves.
“Due to Courtwarming, we didn’t have a full squad out, so we weren’t able to see how we stacked up in all areas; but it was a good test for us with both MSHSAA and National Forensics League Districts coming up soon,” said head coach Tom Martin.
