Leonard O. Cole, Jr., age 88, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Leonard was born June 3, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Leonard, Sr., and Edna (Braum) Cole.

He was united in marriage to Grace Johnson in St. Louis, Missouri on June 21, 1927.

Leonard served his country proudly in United States Army Air Corp during World War II and was part of the 461st Bombardment Group (H).

Leonard was a mechanical engineering and was employed with Missouri Pacific Railroad for 43 years. He also worked as a consultant for Barnum and Bailey for 19 years. He was a member of Mizpah Mount Moriah Lodge #40 AF &AM in Florissant, Missouri, and a member of the 461st Bombardment Group (H) Association Among his many interests he enjoyed woodworking, hunting and boating, and in times past, enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Grace.

Leonard is survived by one son, Leonard O. (Lee) Cole, III and his wife, Dolores, of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Grace; his parents Leonard, Sr., and Edna Cole; one daughter Barbara Rubinson; and one sister Lorrine Lynch.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Interment will be Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
