Spent years enjoying the lake area

NAINAH EVELYN HUSKERSON “Mimi”, age 85, passed away at 5:15 PM on February 1, 2013, just hours before her 86th birthday, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Nainah was born on February 2, 1927, in Joplin, Mo. to Roscoe and Minnie Claycomb. On January 6, 1972, Nainah married Bill Huskerson who preceded her in death on June 9, 2012.

Surviving are Nainah’s sister, Sallie Headen Ruse of Rodgers Arkansas. Daughters Susan O’Dell of Springfield, Mo. and Leslie Taylor of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; Step Children, Jeffrey Huskerson of Greely, Colo.; Karla Reichmann of Maize, Kan.; Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Nainah lived in Camdenton, Mo. for over 30 years where she worked as an underwriter for American Family Insurance. Prior to that she worked for Mo. State Highway Patrol, Troup D. as a Secretary. She was a wonderful mother and an adoring grandmother whose contagious laughter will be missed by all.

Nainah was known to love the lake spent many years enjoying the beauty of the lake area. In later years she and Bill enjoyed traveling across the United States in their RV and claimed to have traveled to almost all of the nation’s 50 states. She loved to play Bingo and was a member of the Camdenton Senior Citizens Center.

A memorial service will be held in Joplin, Mo. in the spring (Information to be announced). In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Regency Hospice, 3590 U.S. 331, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
