  • Charter announced Wednesday that it is seeking qualified candidates to fill an additional 150 new positions in the areas of direct sales and broadband installation throughout Missouri and Western Illinois. The outside sales and broadband installer positions are expected to be filled now through mid-2013 in various locations including Osage Beach.

  • Charter announced Wednesday that it is seeking qualified candidates to fill an additional 150 new positions in the areas of direct sales and broadband installation throughout Missouri and Western Illinois. The outside sales and broadband installer positions are expected to be filled now through mid-2013 in various locations including Osage Beach.
    “As more and more people discover the benefits of Charter’s bundled TV, Internet and phone service, we continue to grow and we’re filling positions throughout the region to fulfill our customers’ needs,” said Sean O’Donnell, Charter’s Vice President and General Manager for Missouri and Illinois. “We are building a team throughout Missouri and Illinois that is focused on the customer and will provide the industry’s best service.”
    Successful candidates for direct sales positions will be responsible for soliciting new residential customers through direct door-to-door contact, explaining products and services available to potential customers, and obtaining customer orders. These positions are paid base salaries plus commissions, with total earning potential into the six figures. Previous sales experience and/or customer service is preferred, and comprehensive training is available. Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to provide their own insured transportation (limited mileage reimbursement is provided). Individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
    Those hired for entry level broadband installer positions will receive comprehensive training for basic installations and other routine residential visits. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak the English language, have the ability to use hand tools, have the ability to operate a ladder (approx 32 ft high and 90 pounds), have a valid driver’s license, and high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
