  • James D. Judas Jr. is the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks following his election by the bank's board of directors on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013.
    James W. Mead, Chairman of the Board, thanked bank employees for pulling together following the sudden death of then-president Greg Gagnon last November, and expressed confidence in the future leadership of Judas who has been with the bank for 29 years.
    Judas acknowledged the efforts of his fellow employees, saying "We've had some challenges within our bank family at the same time that we've strived to be the very best bank for our customers. I know that we'll continue that commitment as our region emerges from some challenging economic times."
    Judas has an extensive background in banking. He is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, ABA National Commercial Lending Graduate School, and the Missouri School of Lending He joined Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks in 1983 as a Management Trainee after graduating from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, with a degree in finance and banking. Judas was promoted to consumer loan officer in 1986 and vice president/commercial loan officer in 1994. In 2004, he was named senior vice president of commercial loans.
    Judas is involved in several community organizations including SBA Enterprise Development Corporation Loan Committee (chairman), Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor's Bureau (board member and secretary), Lions Club (past treasurer), Daybreak Rotary Club (past committee member), Lake Area Chamber of Commerce (past president), and many other Lake area organizations.
    Judas and his wife, Carrie, live in Osage Beach. They have three children, Lauren, Trey and Trent.
