The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency which represents the general public in cases before the Public Service Commission.
The request to legally provide sewer service to the condos follows the company's October application for authority to provide water service.
When the complaint against Cedar Green Land Acquisition was filed in August, PSC staff claimed the company was providing water and sewer services in a manner that made it subject to PSC regulation but had failed to obtain the appropriate approval from the Commission.
The complaint also claimed that on or before Feb. 21, 2012, Laclede Electric Cooperative arrived at the Cedar Green condos to shut off service to the three meters that supply electricity to the water and sewer facilities due to reported non-payment. PSC staff alleged that the company failed to notify and inform affected customers about the situation.
According to the complaint, a condo resident paid Laclede Electric to keep electric service from being turned off.
