  • Lake Regional Health System is pleased to welcome David Halsell, who will serve as the organization’s senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer, beginning Feb. 1.
Halsell, a certified public accountant, has more than 24 years of health care experience. Before joining Lake Regional, he served as the CFO of Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo.
Lake Regional conducted an extensive search to fill the CFO position, which oversees the health system’s Accounting, Patient Financial Services, Patient Registration and Materials Management departments, in addition to providing reports and analysis to the Finance Committee of the Lake Regional Health System Board of Directors.
Michael E. Henze, CEO of Lake Regional Health System, said he is pleased with the experience Halsell brings to the administration team.
“Health care reform will present many new challenges within our industry throughout the coming years, including finance,” Henze said. “David will help us continue our mission to provide quality care while operating in a sound fiscal manner.”
Halsell has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He will replace Dan Probstfield, Lake Regional senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer, who retires this month after more than 26 years of service to the health system.
