    John Tucker:
Thank you for your excellent, well thought out analysis and explanation of concerns facing the Camdenton School Board.  You managed to bring the focus back to the education of the children at a time when some school board members appear to be micro managing or at a minimum divisive on priorities.
The Kansas City, MO school district has had a parade of new Superintendents since the 70's because of school board division for the most part.  The good ones that were hired left after a year or two...kinda like a bankrupt business that insisted on doing the same things that had historically caused them to fail.  The root causes for the KC District were busing, suburb population creep and budget shrinkage BUT the outcome is a now a district that is unaccredited, broke and has shrunk in size to 25% of 1960.
The issues are different in Camden County today, but you were spot on that loosing top administrators will progressively be more difficult to replace and the focus will shift to politics vs. education.  May the school board and the voters wake up to the potential future problems that can be most easily nipped in the bud...LEAD for the Children's sake.
