Versailles, Mo. - After a 59-28 victory over Warsaw on Monday night, the Camdenton Lady Lakers took to the court once again on Tuesday night to take on the hosting Versailles Lady Tigers.
In an impressive offensive display, the Lady Lakers dominated the Lady Tigers 76-30 for their second win in the six-team tournament, moving them on to play for the championship on Friday, Dec. 14.
Camdenton's aggressive defense and use of the press led to a number of turnovers, which the Lady Lakers capitalized on, as they led Versailles 32-8 at the end of the first quarter.
Versailles began to rally in the second quarter, however, scoring six points on three consecutive plays before Camdenton found their footing once again, scoring 16 points in the second quarter against Versailles' 11 points.
Leading 48-19 at the half, the Lady Lakers came out hot, working the ball down the court quickly to score.
Camdenton would go on to score back and forth with the Lady Tigers for the remainder of the game, but Versailles would never get enough momentum going to cut down the deficit, as the Lady Lakers defense allowed just 11 points to the Lady Tigers in the second half.
The Lakers were led in scoring by juniors Whitney Snow and Abby Moulder, with 16 and 12 points respectively. Versailles was led by senior Madisen Sherman with 15.
Camdenton will await the results of the Wednesday night games to see which team they will face in the championship, while Versailles takes on Warsaw to decide whether they will play for third or consolation.
