  • Mae Wells, 73 of Stover, Mo. passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at her home. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 8, 2012 at the Mecklin Cemetery north of Oak Grove, Mo. In addition, there will also be a remembrance service held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles, Mo. In lieu of flowers, Mae requested memorial donations to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Love Fund. Online condolences in Mae’s memory may be sent to meyersfuneralchapel.com.
    Mae was born March 11, 1939 in Kansas City, Mo. the daughter of Paul and Thelma (Houston) Johnson. She was a graduate of Northeast High School in 1957. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Versailles, Mo., where she was the secretary of the church. Mae was also employed by GEM Realty, and retired from AT&T as a long distance operator. She had previously worked for Kansas City Missouri Board of Education, and Western Electric.
    On July 10, 2000 she married Wayne Wells. He joined her in death on December 3, 2012. The joy of her life was having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren come to the lake to visit.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister JoAnne Oakes.
    Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Miller of Kansas City, Mo.; Kathy Hibdon and (Ron) of Lees Summit, Mo., and Diana Rodriquez and Tom Otke of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; brother Paul (Jerry) Johnson of Grain Valley, Mo.; grandchildren Jason Miller, Megan Hokanson, Brandon Slocum, Jason Hibdon, Jamie Hibdon, Tyler Hibdon, Trent Hibdon and Nick Shortino, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
