25 year old Ronald James Blowers of Stover Missouri is charged with two counts of second degree murder in the killing of Wayne and Mable Wells on Dec. 3.
According to Morgan County Sheriff's Department, evidence from the scene and information from Blowers led to the charges being filed. Officials say it was first believed that the victims had been shot from a small caliber firearm; however the autopsy revealed they died of blunt force trauma. They believe that a pipe, knife and screwdriver were used to inflict the injuries. A pipe was found on Thursday near the scene and is believed to be one of the weapons used.
Blowers is currently being held at the Morgan County Adult Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
The investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
