After being cited for unlawfully providing water and sewer services to Cedar Green Luxury Condominiums, Cedar Green Land Acquisition, L.L.C. has filed an application with the Missouri State Public Service Commission (PSC) seeking the proper authority to provide water service to the Camdenton area condo complex.
Interested parties have until Oct. 17 to make applications to intervene and participate in this case. Filings can be made with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission's electronic filing and information service (EFIS).
When the complaint was filed in August, PSC staff claimed the company was providing water and sewer services in a manner that made it subject to PSC regulation but had failed to obtain the appropriate approval from the Commission.
The complaint also claimed that on or before Feb. 21, 2012, Laclede Electric Cooperative arrived at the Cedar Green condos to shut off service to the three meters that supply electricity to the water and sewer facilities due to reported non-payment. PSC staff alleged that the company failed to notify and inform affected customers about the situation.
According to the complaint, a condo resident paid Laclede Electric to keep electric service from being turned off.
