Lucille Mailahn, right, shows some of the collectibles she donated to the Christ the King auction to Carol Johnson and Don Johnson, chairman of the event. Mailahn, who formerly operated the Oak Leaf Gift Shop located first at Poverty Flats, then on Rt. KK for a combined 30 years, has donated more than 100 collectible items for the auction Aug. 18. The event, which features a silent auction, a live auction by Bryant Auction, a continental breakfast and bake sale, beings at 8 a.m. at the church, 1700 Bagnell Dam Blvd., next to McDonald's.
