Do you know someone living in sub-standard housing that would like to partner with Lake of the Ozarks Habitat for Humanity to build a new home and a better future? Habitat will be holding Family Selection Seminars on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Camden County Library in Camdenton.
In order to qualify for a new home, you must attend one of these seminars; you must be a Camden County resident for 1 year, you must be currently living in sub-standard housing, you must have the ability to pay back a no-interest loan (i.e., have a job), and you must be willing to complete "sweat-equity" hours in the construction of the home and/or various other ways. Please be prepared to discuss all aspects of your current financial status and needs.
