What to do about all those government imposed regulations for small business?

If only the government would get off the backs of the employer they would be able to make more money and hire more people!

What to do about all those government imposed regulations for small business?
If only the government would get off the backs of the employer they would be able to make more money and hire more people!
Which one of the following would business most like to see abolished:
Truth in advertising, verification of the right to work, safety standards, workers  compensation, family leave, medical leave, vacation, fair wage, child labor laws, severance and termination, discrimination based on age or race or ethnic origins?
One thing that all of these have in common is they protect not only the worker but the business.
Granted endless paperwork takes a chunk out of time, as does the complicated tax codes, however that goes with being in business.
And all these things mentioned keep business accountable for their actions.  Face it if everyone policed themselves we would have no need for regulations.
The bottom line of making money is more about smart business practices and smart money investment both in people and in product.
There are many great employers and they are able to handle the current economic situation.  If business can't figure out how to do that, maybe being a small business owner is not the right choice.
