Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Judy Loman of rural Versailles, Missouri celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Judy Loman of rural Versailles, Missouri celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 12, 2012. The surprise Golden Wedding Anniversary was held at the lovely home of Wayne and Jacquie Brewer of Versailles, with a cake and punch reception for a combined gathering of 50 family, friends and close neighbors.
Judy Gayle Dowdy, the daughter of Maude Agnes Turner and William Glen Dowdy and John Fredrick Loman, the son of Elzie Ray Loman and Minnie May Ackerman were married at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 1962 at the Sterling Acres Baptist church in rural Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri by Pastor Stewart L. Wine.
Mr. and Mrs. Loman have four children: Barbara, of California; Lee, of Osage Beach, Mo.; Jennifer, of Kansas City, Mo.; and John, of Lee’s Summit, Mo. Loman’s son, Raymond Dean, born November 17, 1957, died of cancer on September 11, 2010. Fred and Judy have four grandchildren and are now expecting their first great-grandchild. They are also the loving guardians and caretakers of 3 small Yorkies and a Miniature Schnauzer, Duke, Joe, Dink and Suzie.
The Loman’s reside in rural Morgan County in a small bungalow on a beautiful 5 acres where Mrs. Loman loves to tend her flower gardens while Fred tends a small vegetable patch and an even smaller orchard.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Loman are retired Federal Civil Servants with a approximate combined total of 50 years of service.
