School of the Osage tennis sophomore Thomas Uhl made it to the second day of the Class 1 state singles tournament over the weekend.


School of the Osage tennis sophomore Thomas Uhl made it to the second day of the Class 1 state singles tournament over the weekend.

Uhl opened with a default win over Dexter's Tyler Miller. Later in the day Friday, Uhl lost to eventual Class 1 champion Will Welte of Pembroke Hill.

In the consolation round, Uhl beat Forsyth's James Borges 6-2, 6-2. On Saturday in the consolation semifinals, Uhl lost to Joe Ibarra.

The tournament took place at Cooper Tennis Complex.
