The Lake of the Ozarks recorded its first water-related fatality when a Wildwood, Mo., woman injured a week ago died from her injuries.

Margaret K. Reavy, 53, died at University Hospital in Columbia about 7:51 p.m. Friday, May 25, from injuries sustained in a near head-on boating accident the evening of May 18. She received severe head injuries in the accident.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Division report, the accident occurred about 9:53 p.m. May 18 when a 2000 Sea Ray runabout driven by Thomas G. Rainey, 59, of Lees Summit, ran over the top of a 2008 Bennington tritoon driven by Daniel M. Reavy, 49, of Wildwood. Margaret Reavy was a passenger in the pontoon boat.

Both Rainey and Daniel Reavy were charged with Boating While Intoxicated.
